3D Rendered Product I find Interesting

I was looking at 3D rendered images of products and found some typical ones, like headphones but I also found some like the one above which is a 3D rendered pile of pills that are in the shape they’d be in within the bottle. Some designer or business person for this company thought that showing the pills inside the bottle was a productive way for the artist/designer to show off the product. I think I get it after a few minutes of thought but it caught me off guard. Why the need to show the shape of the bottle? Is it a way to reference the back to the company? Also the shadow for the bottle is still there with the pills. I found this at http://www.behance.net/gallery/70688019/Natures-Wellness-Market-Nutrition-3D-Rendering .

Maya Scene With Unusual Incident

I call this Factory City. In this, I used basic polygons and modeling in Maya to make a cityscape that includes a factory. This city seems normal to most, but if anyone knows of my game Cognitive Workshop, they should recognize this factory. This factory is the entire setting of the game. My model is a reference to my game but also adds to the world the game exists. The world feels normal for the most part, with a hint of surreal. I used a pale color scheme to make a surreal feel as well as the very sharp trees. The factory isn’t alone in this model as I added some buildings and an empty parking lot. The deserted parking lot is due to the abandoned nature of the factory in my game. I am delving deeper into the world I built my game to expand on the experience I plan on it being.

Maya Color Play

After spending some time playing around with primitives I started to play with colors. Specifically using transparent white and faded blues and browns. The first couple are of the pillars I was playing around with. The second couple are of the future car I made. Renders came out really dark even though the preview came up fine. I changed the colors to light blues and purples to see if they came out like the preview. Those are the last two.

Loop Campaign In Process

While working on my poster and moving poster I realized I needed to address a different audience. I currently work in retal and have seen kids regularly ask why they need to keep their masks on. I thought of using a Dr Seuss style coloring pages and book. Below are two of the coloring pages and a couple phrases I’ve come up with for the book.

“What kind of mask do you have? Red blue purple green? Is it one for Halloween?”

“There are germs in the air, Oh this isn’t fair, I need to breathe, Germs make me EEeeeeeeee”
