For this project, I took my posters made from my hand-made type and created a moving poster. I made the posters originally in After Effects then I imported them into After Effects to allow each layer to be transformed. The idea behind this project was to get people to question if they understood what was going on and to get them to go look into everything. All the things we are told to do or avoid gets overwhelming hence the type on the second poster that can’t be read very well. The questions we have seem to surround us hence the reason for the questions on the first poster to herd around the Get in the Loop portion. Each poster is meant to be read both alone and with the other. One of these videos shows the questions while the other shows the demands/statements made to us all. This whole project is made to encourage those who are overwhelmed to confused to go to viable sites to get their information.

Get in the Loop Posters

This project is based around the hand-made type project I did a month or so ago. The message “Get in the Loop” means to get in the know, to gain knowledge or understanding. My point with this project is to get people to really understand what is going on during this pandemic and why we are being told to do things such as wear masks and social distance. I used my hand-made type that I vectorized in illustrator as the main portion of the poster and added more supplementary text to point towards the parts that people seem to misunderstand or not know about. The top poster uses the small practically unreadable at a distance words, to show what it may feel like to get all the information at once and not knowing which parts to read or what parts are unneeded and/or repeated. The second is intentionally left with a larger amount of empty space to show the vast emptiness that is the internet in regards to trustable sites to look into things. Both are made as 18″ by 24″ posters.
